Its been A great start to the season for our Beach Haven Fishing Charters..  New Benita J record Golden Tilefish weighing in at over #38. Caught last week by Dan Sweeny.

Had the annual cousin charter trip today. Decided to switch it up and put the tuna gear away and target bottom fish. We jumped around and found a nice honey hole loaded with golden tiles. Filled the box with nice size fish and a couple of jumbos. We both hand cranked jigs and used the electric outfits. Back to tuna fishing in a few days.

Thank you VFW Post 3729 - Long Beach Island, NJ for running a great tournament this weekend. Team Benita J made it to the winner’s circle with a third place in the woman’s division. Sophia Rose landed a 2.96lb flattie. We had a blast fishing with three generations of Wittenborn’s. We caught over 40 fluke but only three made it in the box. This tournament has really taken off and draws some of the best local fisherman competing for several different prize categories. Already looking forward to next year. Congrats Sophia!!!
